FAQs
EXCEED is a borderless global platform for lifelong growth and transformation, built for leaders at every level. It brings together learning, networking, contribution, and fun into one continuous journey of growth, giving members access to a vibrant global community and a growing wealth of opportunities – from EXCEED and its strategic partners, from the wider world beyond our ecosystem, and from members themselves.
EXCEED is open to progressive organisations and to passionate individuals and professionals from every walk of life who are committed to continuous development.
You apply by creating an account on the EXCEED platform. Your application is reviewed by EXCEED, and once approved, you're ready to participate as a member.

Yes. Membership runs on a calendar-year cycle, from 1 January to 31 December, and is renewed annually.
Personal Development Credits (PDCs)
Personal Development Credits (PDCs) are the points members earn by participating in EXCEED activities. They're how EXCEED measures and recognises your ongoing engagement and growth.
Members must accumulate at least 60 PDCs per year, with a minimum of 15 PDCs per quarter, to remain in good standing.
The quarterly minimum (15 PDCs) is designed to encourage consistent engagement throughout the year, rather than earning all 60 PDCs in a single quarter.
Every opportunity you engage in carries a PDC value: whether it's run by EXCEED, a strategic partner, an independent third party, or proposed by you. Full values are listed in the PDC Schedule below.
Yes, in most categories. Activities run within the EXCEED ecosystem (EXCEED or its strategic partners) typically carry a higher PDC value than the same type of activity run by an independent, non-EXCEED party. This reflects EXCEED's ability to verify quality and impact more directly within its own ecosystem.

Some activities, like self-driven projects or other external development activities, don't fit a fixed value, because their scope and impact vary widely. EXCEED reviews these on a case-by-case basis and assigns a PDC value once submitted.
Log in to your EXCEED account and submit the activity under the relevant category. For Self-Driven Activities and Other Verified Activities, you'll need to provide evidence of participation or written confirmation, which EXCEED reviews before approving PDCs.
There are ten activity types:
- Business Events – Attend, speak, or facilitate in forums, summits, and panels convened by EXCEED and its partners.
- Publications – Publish thought leadership content on EXCEED platforms.
- Consultancy – Serve as a consultant under EXCEED or its partners, or contribute to strategic initiatives around the world.
- Coaching & Mentorship – Coach or be coached, mentor or be mentored, through structured EXCEED leadership programmes.
- SEAT AFRICA Networks of 7 (SANO7) – Join small, practical, active peer networks of leaders sharing insight on strategy and execution.
- SEAT AFRICA Speakers – Join a premier speakers bureau connecting businesses and events with exceptional speakers across sectors.
- Self-Driven Activities – Design and propose your own development activity, aligned to your strengths and passions.
- WenCHAM – Access the World Chamber of Entrepreneurs for Economic Development, connecting entrepreneurs across borders.
- Other Verified Activities – Register development activities you've already undertaken outside the EXCEED ecosystem for verification and PDCs.
- Health – engage in health screenings, fitness activities, and wellness initiatives that safeguard your capacity to work and lead.
Self-Driven Activities are things you design and propose yourself: a new initiative, project, or session, for EXCEED's approval before you do it. Other Verified Activities are things you've already done outside EXCEED's ecosystem (an external course, conference, publication, etc.) that you register afterward, with evidence, to be verified and credited.
Both. You can take part in opportunities posted by EXCEED and its strategic partners, or propose and lead your own under Self-Driven Activities.

Staying in Good Standing
Falling short of these thresholds carries consequences, which may include suspension of membership. That said, EXCEED reviews each case on its own circumstances and prefers to work with members to help them regularise their standing.
If a member does not cooperate in addressing the shortfall, EXCEED reserves the right to take further action, which may include cancellation of membership. A member whose membership is cancelled may reapply after six months, and if readmitted, will serve a mandatory three-month probationary period.
Yes, PDCs can roll over forward. However, this only works in one direction – you cannot "catch up" by deferring effort into a later quarter. The 15 PDCs per quarter is a strict minimum that must be met on its own terms each quarter.
For the year, any PDCs earned beyond 100 in a calendar year roll over into the following year's total.
EXCEED reviews all proposed Self-Driven Activities and all submissions under Other Verified Activities before PDCs are credited.
